NOON

Grief is just a prayer

in which we agree with God

that death is unnatural

and each life holds eternal value and meaning

So let us grieve with hope

Hope that there is purpose in this pain

and there is a God who stands not aloof

or far removed from this suffering,

but waist deep in it with us,

holding our fragile hearts lest they sink forever

beneath the mire of this sin hindered globe

and be lost

Let hope hold us up

and in its good timing

strengthen us

to hold out the same

to those who are sinking

along the way home
